How to Play Fan Tan Live

Fan Tan Live is a game by Evolution Gaming where you guess the number of beads remaining under a metal cup after each round. A live dealer runs the game from a studio with a luxurious red table and a glass dome filled with white beads.

In each round, the dealer removes the dome and takes out a certain number of beads using a metal cup. The beads are then arranged into four rows with a divider stick. You place your bet on how many beads will be left in the last row, choosing a number between 1 and 4.

You have 14 seconds to place your bet before the dealer reveals the remaining beads. Since it’s impossible to predict the exact number of beads left, there are no guaranteed strategies for winning in Fan Tan.

Default and Advanced Fan Tan

It might seem straightforward, but there are several betting options available when playing Fan Tan Live. For newcomers, this variety can be confusing. To help with this, Fan Tan Live offers two versions: ‘Default’ and ‘Advanced.’

Default Fan Tan Live Betting Options

When you play Fan Tan, you have a few betting options:

Big and Small Bets: With ‘big’ bets, you predict that three or four beads will remain, and with ‘small’ bets, you predict that one or two beads will be left. For ‘odd’, ‘even’, ‘big’, and ‘small’ bets, the payout is 0.95 to 1, so you get $1.95 for every $1 you bet if you win.

Fan Bets (1, 2, 3, and 4): These bets involve guessing the number of beads that will be left at the end, which can be between one and four. If you bet on a specific number of beads, the payout is 2.85 to 1. This means you get $3.85 for every $1 you bet.

Odd and Even Bets: Betting on ‘odd’ means you expect either one or three beads to remain, while betting on ‘even’ means you think two or four beads will be left.

Advanced Fan Tan Live Betting Options

When you switch to ‘Advanced’ betting mode, you’ll see more options available. You get three new types of bets: Nim, Kwok, and Ssh (Sheh-sam-hong), each with different variations.

Nim

A Nim bet is a more complex version of the Fan Bet. You bet on two numbers, but you only win if exactly one bead remains. If two beads are left, your bet is a push, and you get your money back. Each of the twelve Nim bets has odds of 1.90:1, meaning you win $2.90 for every $1 bet, resulting in a profit of $1.90.

Kwok

A Kwok bet is similar to a Nim bet but allows you to win with either of the two numbers you bet on. It’s like betting on Odd & Even or Big & Small. There are four possible Kwok combinations: 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, and 4-1. The payout is 0.95:1, so you win $1.95 for every $1 bet if your prediction is correct.

Ssh (Sheh-sam-hong)

With an Ssh or Sheh-sam-hong bet, you bet on three numbers. This gives you a better chance of winning, but the payouts are lower.ced accordingly. When you place an Ssh bet, there are four options. These are 3-2-1, 2-1-4, 4-3-2 and 1-4-3. The odds at each Ssh is 0.316667:1. Here, you get rounded up $1.32 for every dollar wagered.

Fan Tan Live Statistics

Fan Tan Live offers players detailed statistics. You can access these by clicking the graph icon at the bottom of your betting screen, next to the table-switching option. This will show a summary of the results from the last 500 rounds.

The statistics screen is divided into three sections. At the top, you’ll see the percentage of times certain amounts of beads appeared.

In the middle section, there’s a summary of odd and even numbers. Odd numbers are shown with blue dots, while even numbers are marked with red.

The bottom section displays the ratios of Big (3 and 4) versus Small (1 and 2). Big numbers are represented in yellow, and Small numbers in green.

Fan Tan Live Strategy

It’s important to understand that Fan Tan is purely a game of chance. The likelihood of the next four turns resulting in the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 is just as random as getting a sequence like 4, 2, 2, 3.

However, there are strategies to reduce risk and improve your chances. For instance, choosing Ssh (Sheh-sam-hong) is often a good choice because it covers most of the possible numbers. Additionally, betting on Big & Small, Odd & Even, and Kwok can be beneficial since they cover half of the available betting options.

Fan Tan Live Return to Player (RTP)

The Return to Player (RTP) percentage for Fan Tan Live ranges from 96.25% to 98.75%. The higher RTP of 98.75% is only achievable if you play the game in the best possible way.
